There beautifully! But the female Sirian looks too muck like an Asari and a Quarian with a little bit of Drell mixed in specifically noticeably in the male portrait. I think that The-Brade may need to rethink what these aliens should look like.
Maybe you should go back and talk to The-Brade about this. There is nothing wrong with being inspired by a favorite game or other media franchise but if these characters are going to be sold to the public that could be a problem.
#6 isn't that impractical if perhaps the Sirians had more aquatic ancestry, we are talking about life outside of Earth where conditions that life could spring up would blow our limited human minds out of the water.
6 is a big whole,.. easily to infect and for parasites. (maby some fish could hide inside there) This form of Scull is also very instable, ore if very thic bone, the head gets pretty heavy. It reduces the space of Brain inside, and i hope these Sirians are like duckbills and lay Eggs, because it could be very complicated to get out for the baby^^
But these are just some thaugts,.. i could be also wrong, .. i am no botanist
You are just poking holes. Brain size is never an issue, its how densely the CNS is packed with such units. The don't have to be born that way with that head shape, we see this in animals often enough. Head shouldn't be too heavy if the skeletal structure is strong enough, and if this being evolved where it is now, it wouldn't get to this stage and shape unless biologically it figured any potential problems out.
That was kind of the intention with the species, basically all the project members are fans of ME (and most sci-fi stuff in general), we were all very let down with some of the turns that ME3 took...this was supposed to be a bit of a nod to the community.
Yes, Sirians are (according to the project lore) very into gene splicing and intermingling with non-Sirians, humans are of particular interest as they are a very small minority within the galaxy (Earth having not yet reached the point of intergalactic travel during the bulk of the story arc).
yeah I know it look like those thing from Mass Effect (actually, do they even purple??) but I have to stick with the script and writing concept and that what the team wanted it to look like, I actually never want it to look like some Mass Effect throw away concept, but the whole team, they like it so....well
Haha yes indeed, Sirians are from the Sirius star system, they are intended to be a playable race on a tabletop game that is in the works right now, may as well name drop the placeholder; Project Quasar. I hope that perhaps by the time the concept art is completely done, we will have solidified the write up for the species, perhaps such things can be posted by Zarnala.
Kinda, most of the alien species I've been given responsibility of are loosely based on the supposed sentient xeno-lifeforms that exist within our galaxy. Zetans, Humanoid reptilians (Called Saric'Tau but are mixed with a bit of insectoid traits), Flatwoods Monsters (Called Noremok and are a hybrid of the proposed eye witness accounts and the government explanation), Sirians (from the Sirius star system and mostly fabricated from scratch), Rigelians (from the Rigel star system, they're aquatic super intelligent octopods basically)....and more. While a lot of the backstory and such is fabricated and unfounded, a lot of it is based on speculation, proposed truths, etc. There's heavy use of the ancient astronaut stuff with the lore/fiction surrounding Earth in this project.
